National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics
National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics is a national research institute established by decision of Romanian Government in 1977, having the mission to lead fundamental and applied research at national and international level in domains of photonics, plasma and electron accelerators.
The Institute was reorganized in 1996, when the Institute for Space Sciences (ISS) became a branch of INFLPR.
INFLPR is founded through research projects from national and international competitions, founded from public/private founds, in partenership with other research institutes or companies.
INFLPR is a member in EURATOM association, partner in Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI), partner in LASERLAB Europe, ALICE, and leads projects
founded by EU, NATO and other national and international organizations.
